Thank God For The Booms . . .
Yesterday morning Central Floridians knew exactly when the Space Shuttle landed without seeing a television or listening to a news report. Because the Shuttle usually flies over Central Florida when it is landing - and because it is flying faster than the speed of sound - we get to hear a quick, double sonic boom. The "boom boom" rattles windows and shakes the walls. Yesterday I thanked God for the booms. I remember a day several years back when everyone here was waiting for the booms and they never occured . . .
